For fresh eyebrow permanent makeup to heal beautifully, there are 4 types of restrictions: friction, moisture, sun and foreign cosmetics. The key milestone: around day 4–5 light flaking appears, and it clears between days 8 and 10 — until it has fully gone, follow the rules below. Once the brows have finished flaking, you return to normal life.
Until the flaking ends, don't rub or scratch the brows, don't pick anything off, and don't sleep face-down in the pillow. The flakes must come off on their own — torn-off flakes take pigment with them.
Don't soak, don't steam, don't sweat (sauna and intense sport can wait). If water gets on the brows, gently blot them dry with a tissue straight away — don't apply anything.
Keep fresh work hidden from the sun. Once healed, protect the colour with SPF 50 or higher.
Nothing foreign may touch the fresh area: no makeup, no hydrogen peroxide, no alcohol tinctures; don't disinfect anything and don't apply healing ointments "just in case".
| Days | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1–3 | Brows look rich and brighter than usual — that's normal |
| 4–5 | Light flaking appears |
| 8–10 | Flaking clears; all 4 rules apply until then |
| up to ~4 weeks | The colour settles; the healed shade is 30–40% lighter |
| after 1.5–2 months | Stage 2 — refining the healed result |
Yes, light flaking around day 4–5 is a natural part of healing and clears by day 8–10. The key: don't pick it off, let it come away on its own.
As soon as the flaking has fully cleared (usually by day 10) — then you return to your normal routine, sport included.
The healed shade lightens by 30–40% — which is why the procedure includes stage 2 after 1.5–2 months to refine and fix the result.
